Culinary with Franz Fuiko
The apartment hotel MountainVita is a project of the Austrian top chef Franz Fuiko, which he runs since 2012.
Franz Fuiko was born on the 31st of July 1964 in the Carinthian Griffen, in Pörtschach in 1979 he started his apprenticeship as cook in the "Austrian Court", which he finished in the "Hotel Zürserhof" on the Arlberg. His path took him to Vienna ("Mattes"), Marseille ("Le Petit Nice"), to the M / S Vistafjord of Cunard Lines, to Ischgl ("Hotel Seespitz") and to Vail / Colorado ("Gramshammer") , In 1987 he returned to Austria and as patron of the "Mesnerhaus" in Mauterndorf was awarded for the first time with two Gault Millau toques. In 1994 he was named Austria's "Chef of the Year". From the end of 2007 to the end of 2017, Franz Fuiko was Michelin Star's crowned chef and managing director of "Carpe Diem Finest Fingerfood" in the Getreidegasse in Salzburg.
A son follows in the footsteps of his father
Fabian Fuiko has inherited his father's talent. He was already busy in various high-end kitchens and was not only able to look over the shoulder of the master chef, but also to develop his own style.
With the "Greisslerei" in Oberursel near Frankfurt, in 2018 he is now fulfilling the dream of having his first own restaurant.
